What is the difference between a Newborn Care Specialist and a Postpartum Doula?
A Newborn Care Specialist works mainly caring for the newborn and education, assisting, and empowering the new (or experienced) parent while a postpartum doula provides more holistic, family-centered care and can provide education to parents, provide light housework or errands such as folding laundry, washing dishes, grocery pickup or caring for newborn while the parents take a break, spend time with an older sibling, get some much needed rest, etc.
