About Me.
Hello! My name is Karah Parkey. I am a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist serving Cookeville, TN and the surrounding areas.
Growing up as the oldest of 3 with many younger cousins, I have always been a natural born caretaker. After working for 6 years as a full-time infant/toddler nanny and training as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, I noticed that often in the excitement of a new baby arriving, the mother was lost in the hustle. I am passionate about creating a space where both mom and baby are nurtured and cared for, mom can ask judgement-free questions and share her feelings in a safe space, and the family can be relieved of some of the more menial tasks in the day in order to have more time to spend bonding with their new baby or getting some much needed rest.
Services
Postpartum Doula Support
As a Postpartum Doula, I provide family-centered care involving light housekeeping, laundry, grocery pickup, sibling support, newborn care and education, snack prep, meal prep with provided recipes, and a listening ear.
Newborn Care Specialist
As a Newborn Care Specialist, I provide newborn-centered support including newborn care, overnight care, newborn laundry, bottle and pump sterilization, and education.
